Moving up to the intermediate tier we have the Ludwig Element Evolution LCEE220.

This 5-piece kit comes with Zildjian's I-series Cymbals with are made of B8 Bronze which is a step up in quality from brass that usually comprises entry level cymbals.

Its double braced hardware comes with 2 convertible boom stands that can turn into conventional straight stands and a 3 leg swiveling base hi-hat stand.

The 2-ply pinstripe drumheads by Remo supplied with this kit accentuate the toms' midrange with reduced overtones and provide good durability.

Sparkle is the name of the game when it comes to available finishes: Blue Sparkle, Black Sparkle, Emerald Sparkle and Gold Sparkle.

Pros

Those who purchased the LCEE220 were very happy with many aspects of this drum set including the flexible and durable stands, the sound of the Zildjian cymbals, and also the sound of the drums themselves.

Cons

There were some who couldn't get the snare to sound they way they wanted. Changing the heads and/or applying sound dampening might solve this problem.

Overall

This kit from Ludwig comes with some nice amenities including the Remo heads and Zildjian cymbals. If you're an intermediate drummer or just want to skip to the nice stuff, the Ludwig Element Evolution LCEE220 is a very safe bet.
