Note: The Rokkit G3 range has been superseded by the G4 range - for a similarly priced alternative see our analysis of the more balanced KRK Rokit 5 G4.

The KRK Rokit 6 G3 is the third iteration of KRK's popular studio monitor line, well known for its improved bass response.

It continues to invade studios world over - you can see their unmistakable yellow woofer on many YouTube videos.

The most notable feature of the Rokit 6 is its 6" Kevlar/aramid composite woofer and front firing bass port, which gives it more bass frequency response than other monitors. And because of that, you should go for something else if you want a flat response monitor.

This particular model has a 6" Kevlar/aramid composite woofer, which is slightly bigger than the usual 5" configuration you see in this price range.

Pros

Its combination of quality and great value have helped propel it to the top, with most reviewers giving it perfect scores. Other positive traits mentioned on reviews include durability, reliable operation, and compact design.

Cons

There are a few reports of ear fatigue when used for longer periods, but adjusting the monitor positions can help alleviate this. Some users caution that the speakers are bulky, so it is imperative that you check the dimensions before buying.

I would like to know, if I

I would like to know, if I can connect microphone to the krk box directly. I have a Rode comdensator mic. That is connected to a Voicelive3 extreme and from there I would plug it in to the box. I have the possibility to buy one box. Do you think I could use this one box for my voice?

Good day!

Good day!

While it is possible, I would not recommend it as the Rokits are a studio monitor and not a full range speaker. The headroom won't be enough and the input was designed to receive sound from a balanced sound source like an audio interface, not a microphone. You will risk permanently damaging your equipment and even voiding your warranty if you proceed. Since your mic is a condenser mic, you would also need Phantom Power (+48v) to power the microphone, otherwise it wouldn't work.

If you want to plug in a mic into a powered speaker, check our guide for the best powered PA speakers

Again, I highly advise against proceeding with this. A powered speaker would suit your needs better. I hope I wasn't too late with my reply.
